My Grandma Katie was a cook, today we would call her a chef! She had the knack for creating the most wonderful tasting food and our family gathered around her table on most Sunday evenings to partake in the dishes she lovingly made for us.
In her younger years she cooked in Washington, DC for leader's of her era. She told me once that one of her favorite positions was cooking at the Kate Macy Ladd Home.
Today my Grandma is no longer with us, she is however here in spirit and through her writings. I proudly own her hand-written recipe journals and know in my heart she would love for me to share her recipes with you.
This blog is a tribute to my Grandma Katie, her heritage,
and lessons learned.
